Movie Opening Title Brainstorm:
For our Thriller opening we decided we wanted a really unique title that didn't give the storyline of the plot away instantly upon reading it. With this being said, we sat down and discussed possible ideas. Initially, we came up with names such as 'Forgotten', 'Death Day' and 'Imprisonment' however, when reflecting on them we thought they may be a little to simple and not reflective of our storyline at all. We also feared that some of them may have already been used before. We were much more successful the second time round, ending up with two possible names; 'Project 17' and 'Acquisition'. Project 17 referred to the victim as the 17th victim to get kidnapped and potentially killed. After a lot of thought we began to wonder if by bringing 17 past kidnappings into it, we were beginning to let the storyline get a little too broad which would have been difficult to keep up with. This left us with the title 'Acquisition' which we originally liked due to its definition; an asset or object bought or obtained. We feel this name was the most effective for our film as it's definition relates to our plot, the girl is being 'obtained' and to the kidnapper she is just an asset he has got a hold of. This name has not already been used therefore we will be able to use it without any complications.
